Planning Meeting and Workshop - Continued
Our September meeting was designed as a planning workshop for Network members and for consultants who are considering membership in the Consultants' Network.

Unfortunately, attendance was very poor and only a limited number of our goals was accomplished.

We will continue this topic during our upcoming event. Please make an effort to attend.

The October meeting of the IEEE Consultants' Network will follow with a discussion of our ideas and expectations for the various Network functions. This session needs to determine what the IEEE-CNNNJ is doing right or wrong. The floor will be open to suggestions for improvements, recommendations of new Network directions and activities and proposals of new feature topics for the general meetings.

The main issue of concern to be addressed is that, as the time has progressed, fewer members seem to be interested in participating in organizational activities of the group. In particular, we are lacking coordination in the area of planning and publicity for the network as well as in advertising/marketing of services offered by our group.

We will be looking for more member involvement in these functions.

As we did last month, this week we will not have a Pre-Meeting Dinner. Instead, we are planning to arrange for a few pizzas to accompany our discussions.

Founded in 1992, the IEEE Consultants Network of Northern NJ encourages and promotes the use of independent technical consultants by business and industry.

All are welcome, members and non-members alike!
